General Information

Internet of Things and intelligent devices and services have been extensively studied and applied in the recent years. Their interconnection with other technologies, such as service-oriented computing, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and, on the backend, as well as autonomous decentralized systems, cyber-physical devices, device as a service, and robot as a service on the frontend made them ubiquitous in social, technological and economical systems.

This Special Issue solicits mature research with solid support in experiments or simulations in the following areas:

• Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, distributed embedded systems
• Industry 4.0, and autonomous robotics and transportation
• Ad-hoc networks, sensor networks, advanced network infrastructures and internetworking
• Artificial intelligence and its application in distributed systems and devices
• Assurance, fault tolerance, reliability, and security, on-line expansion, on-line-maintenance, and resilience
• Autonomous and decentralized services, including service architecture, protocols, and collaboration
• Service-oriented computing, cloud computing and big data analysis
• Internet of Intelligent Tings, Device as a Service, and Robot as Service
• Heterogeneous distributed information / control systems, mobile agent / computer-supported cooperative works
• Novel applications with intelligent devices in e-business, e-commerce and e-government; telecommunications; information service systems; manufacturing systems; real-time event management; traffic and transportation control; supply chains; environmental/emergency protection; networked health and medical systems; intelligent home control; embedded systems for automotive and avionics applications.

CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology is the official international publication of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, which includes 34 technical committees in all sub areas of Artificial Intelligence. CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology is an international journal dedicated for publishing high quality peer-reviewed papers from all overall the world. All papers will be reviewed by three qualified reviewers from different countries.

Timeline

The special issue will have a fixed timeline and is planned to be published in 2018.
